The short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and nothing tracks you on this site unless you say yes.
This page covers the website only. When you use while you wait at a venue, the venue is the controller of your order data and we process it for them. The privacy notice for that is shown in the app.
who is responsible

what we collect
When you fill in a form. Your name, your role, the venue or event you are asking about, your email and whatever you write in the message. On the jobs page, your CV if you attach one. We collect this because you sent it to us.
When you say yes to analytics. Which pages you visit, roughly where you are, what kind of device you are on, and which campaign brought you here. Nothing runs until you accept it on the banner.
Always. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs including your IP address for security and to keep the site running. That is not something we can switch off and it is not used to identify you.
how we use it
To reply to you. To book the demo you asked for. To understand which pages and campaigns are working so we spend our time on the right ones. That is the list.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone except the services below, and only so they can do the job we use them for.
the services we use
Netlify, hosting and form handling. Google Analytics 4, site analytics, consent only. LinkedIn Insight Tag, campaign measurement, consent only. Google Workspace, where your form submissions land as email. Each of them has its own privacy notice.
If we add another service that touches your data, it will appear on this list before it goes live.
where it lives
Form submissions arrive in our Google Workspace mailbox and sit in Netlify’s form store. Analytics data is held by Google and LinkedIn on their infrastructure, which may be outside the UAE. Both are large, audited providers with their own data protection commitments.
how long we keep it
Form submissions: as long as the conversation is live, then cleared in periodic tidy ups. Job applications: six months after the role closes unless you ask us to keep it longer. Analytics: fourteen months, Google’s standard setting, then it is deleted automatically.
your choices and rights
You can decline analytics entirely and the site works exactly the same. You can change your mind on the cookies page at any time.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@whileyouwait.io and we will do it within thirty days. If you are in the EU or the UK, the rights under GDPR apply to you and we honour them.

We will update this page when what we collect changes. The date at the top tells you when.
